Alligator & Underwear
Two of the funniest words, together at last.
Two of the funniest words, together at last.
Did a warm up sketch today of an angry kitten.
Was able to create another illustration this weekend… It was both the easiest of the recent group as well as one of the more difficult. The base sketch came very naturally, but coloring is still not my strength. Let me know what you think.
Picked up working on the side project again tonight with this sketch of a young boy deep in thought. Really enjoying Autodesk’s Sketchbook Pro for these recent sketches but hate the way the iPad and Mac versions talk.
Working on an exciting personal project and this is the first of several images that I need to create for it.
Back when I originally started sketching for ‘Project Z’ I was unsure of the direction (and still am), so I did up this friendlier version. The kids love it, but I’m on the fence. Thoughts?
Did a quick sketch for Amelia to show her how she came into the world eight years ago. She’s on the fence about it… So I guess “mission accomplished.”
Liam is torn between two worlds of Pokemon and soldiers, so he asked me to draw Oshawott with a bandolier. Rather than push it over the top, I tried to keep it within the spirit of Pokemon with a shell based pocketed belt slung over his her its chest.
Looking back at these older drawings makes me wish that I had done a better job documenting whom it was that I was capturing. Regardless, I believe that this was a caricature of the then-head of the FCC at the time. Why? Dunno. But I still love the style and overall composition.
Back when I worked at the Herald, I did a some editorial caricatures for them including this one of ex-Rep Gary Condit [D]. Condit was perfect fodder for the op-ed pages given the hypocrisy of his public condemnation against Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal when paired against his own extramarital affair with intern Chandra Levy.
