Recommendations

“It would hardly be exaggerating to describe Bill’s upward trajectory at the Herald as meteoric. He continues to shoulder enormous responsibility with grace and aplomb. His quick and skillful response to evolving technologies and the exigencies of industry conditions has kept the site ahead of the curve as it attains ever-increasing visibility as well as the lion’s share of the paper’s readership. As a manager, Bill engages staff with professionalism, respect and an evident appreciation for new ideas; the loyalty he inspires only increases with proximity and time.” March 9, 2008

“Bill showed himself to be a natural leader as VP of technology and production at Herald Interactive. Always able to rally and motivate the staff, he led the way by example. His work ethic inspired others, and prompted those around him to raise their standards accordingly. Bill showed great vision and skill in every instance over the nearly nine years I worked with him, resulting in a solid and tangible track record of success. He was always willing to listen to others and work collaboratively, but was also calm and confident when it came time to stand on his own and make leadership decisions. His technical expertise was matched only by his ability to relate genuinely and openly with staff members. His social manner made people feel involved and valued. Using these skills he was able to forge a strong, focused, motivated team. His performance in a highly-visible, extremely competitive market and his ability to succeed in that forum made him a very highly-respected and valuable leader.” February 14, 2008
