Google acquires microblogging service Jaiku

Read the Jaiku announcement here.The fact that Google chose Jaiku over competitor Twitter, should make for interesting speculation. Considering all the banter regarding the Google Phone, Jaiku may have simply been a stronger partner on the mobile platform.
